Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator in St. George, SC for a 5-month 1099 contract. You will provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction activities and maintain a strong field presence on active sites.

The role requires OSHA 30 construction certification and 2+ years of construction safety experience, with a focus on hazard assessments, JHAs/AHAs, and compliance with OSHA standards across a data center project.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting field audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards.
• Ability to maintain a visible field presence on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor conduit installation, electrical wiring, material handling operations, and elevated work activities.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Job description

Construction Safety Coordinator

Location: St. George, SC

Duration: 5 Months (Start: Immediate Need)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $45/hr

Per Diem: None

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 5x10s + 8 Hours on Saturday

Additional Schedule Details: Overtime built into the schedule with approximately 58 hours per week.
