Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction seeks an experienced Safety Manager to lead AP’s safety program across projects, ensuring a safe work environment and promoting the Incident and Injury Free culture. You will provide safety trainings, monitor compliance, and collaborate with project teams to proactively manage safety risks.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety or related field with 6–8 years’ experience, OSHA 500 certification, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Safety Management, or related field plus 6–8 years directly related experience.
• Experience with inspections and audits with state/local agencies.
• Knowledge of state/federal safety laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Experience conducting safety trainings.
• OSHA 500 Trainer Card for construction (required or attainable).

Responsibilities

• Manage safety program on assigned projects per org-wide requirements.
• Conduct safety trainings for management and field workers.
• Maintain safety communications and training materials.
• Perform internal safety audits and site inspections.
• Coordinate with state/federal agencies on inspections.
• Assist with workers’ compensation program and return-to-work process.
• Collaborate with project teams to sustain IIF culture.
