Job summary

Garney is seeking a Regional Safety Manager in Texas to serve as a safety resource for crews and safety managers on job sites. The role involves visiting sites, delivering safety training, managing programs and audits, and handling incident paperwork.

The ideal candidate will hold a safety-related degree, OSHA 30, and be willing to travel/relocate; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred and CHST within six months may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil/ mechanical/ construction engineering or safety-related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Willing to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and relocate.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites to monitor safety, inspections, and audits.
• Plan and conduct safety meetings, trainings, workshops, and meetings.
• Manage safety programs, trainings, workshops, and meetings.
• Monitor paperwork related to incident management (medical bills, injury reports, insurance claims, or medical clearance).
• Conduct investigations of workplace accidents to determine causes.
• Assist with documentation.

GARNEY

A Regional Safety Manager position is available at Garney. This full-time, salaried position offers competitive benefits and participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The main duty of the Regional Safety Manager is to serve as a resource for safety managers and crew on job sites regarding safety protocols. They should be available to visit and train crews on job-specific certifications and developmental training. This will include planning and conducting safety meetings, compliance training, audits, and inspections throughout the job site.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide support to construction crew
• Visit job sites to monitor sites safety, inspections, and safety audits
• Manage safety programs, trainings, workshops, and meetings
• Monitor paperwork related to incident management (medical bills, injury report, insurance claims, or medical clearance)
• Conducting investigations of workplace accidents and incidents to determine their causes
• Assist with documentation

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction
• Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment
• Willing to travel and or relocate
