Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety on an active Greenville project, ensuring OSHA compliance within an occupied industrial environment. The role emphasizes hands-on field leadership, hazard identification, and proactive risk mitigation.

You will coordinate with project management, supervision, subcontractors and craft personnel, perform regular inspections and toolbox talks, and drive corrective actions while maintaining essential safety

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 certification is required or preferred.
• Prior lead safety experience on construction sites.
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits, orientations and safety meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for ongoing construction activities.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Lead project safety orientations and toolbox talks.
• Maintain a visible safety presence across active work areas.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Greenville, SC
Duration: 3 Months (Start: ASAP)
Type: Temp-to-Hire | 1099 Contractor Transitioning to W2 Full-Time Employment

Compensation & Schedule

Local Pay Rate: $60/hr
Traveler Pay Rate: $55/hr
Per Diem: $150/Day (Travelers Only)
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8 Hour Days | Approximately 40 Hours Per Week
Additional Schedule Details: Weekend work may be required based on project needs.
