Job summary

Aramark Nexus is seeking a Safety Manager to lead occupational safety, environmental health, and risk management across a large-scale 24/7 residential/hospitality operation near Hereford, Texas. You will guide training, incident investigations, and compliance while coordinating with HR, Facilities, and medical partners.

The role emphasizes proactive risk identification, strong safety culture, and the ability to influence leaders and frontline staff in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EH&S, occupational/industrial safety, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, risk management, or related safety.
• Experience as Safety Manager or similar role preferred.
• Strong incident investigation, corrective action, workers’ comp, safety audits, injury prevention knowledge.
• Experience supporting large, complex, 24/7 operations preferred.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendors, medical providers, or external safety partners preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational safety, environmental health, food safety, and emergency response requirements.
• OSHA-related certification or training preferred; ServSafe is a plus.
• Strong communication, coaching, influencing, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
• Schedule flexibility including evenings, weekends, holidays, and 24/7 support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement safety programs across a large 24/7 residential and hospitality operation.
• Conduct safety inspections and field observations across housing, dining, facilities, and site operations.
• Train and coach managers and employees on safety procedures and hazard recognition.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, monitor trends.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation processes with HR, claims admins, and medical providers.
• Serve as liaison with onsite or third-party medical and health services.
• Prepare for and support audits and inspections with corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, training records, incident reports, and corrective action logs.
• Partner on emergency preparedness, drills, and crisis management.
• Support food safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead safety meetings and new-hire safety orientation.
• Promote safety culture and accountability across all levels.
