Job summary

iSi Environmental is seeking a Safety Manager to lead and support its company-wide safety program. You will identify hazards, provide training, investigate incidents, and ensure OSHA compliance while fostering a proactive safety culture across offices and job sites.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and leader who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and being actively involved in both office and field environments. Regular travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field plus 5 years of safety experience; or 10 years of safety experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and applicable safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other computer-based systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the company’s overall safety program.
  • Develop, review, and update safety policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Promote a proactive, behavior-based safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Stay current on OSHA and other applicable safety regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain safety documentation and required records in safety management systems.
  • Ensure safety documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements are current.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety visits and inspections.
  • Address hazards with managers and supervisors; update JSAs and safety plans.
  • Assist with safety considerations during bidding and project planning.
  • Lead new employee safety orientation and training; investigate incidents and near misses.

We are looking for a Safety Manager to lead and support our company-wide safety program. This position plays a key role in creating a proactive, safety-focused culture by working with employees and leaders at all levels to identify hazards, provide training, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.

Job Requirements
What You’ll Do
Lead Our Safety Program
  • Manage and oversee the company’s overall safety program.
  • Develop, review, and update safety policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Promote a proactive, behavior-based safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Stay current on OSHA and other applicable safety regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain company profiles and required documentation in safety management systems.
  • Ensure safety documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements are current.
Support Our Jobsites & Employees
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety visits and inspections.
  • Work with managers, supervisors, foremen, and leads to identify hazards and address safety concerns.
  • Assist with development and update of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Health and Safety Plans, toolbox talks, etc.
  • Assist estimators and project managers with safety considerations during the bidding and project planning process.
  • Conduct new employee safety orientation and other safety training as needed.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, injuries, and near misses.
  • Analyze incidents to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
What We’re Looking For

Work Environment

This position works in both office and field/jobsite environments and requires regular travel between company locations and jobsites. Must be able to make regular site safety visits on all shifts, and occasionally travel to out-of-town jobsites. Must be comfortable working around industrial equipment, vehicles, tools, and varying jobsite conditions and must be able to follow all applicable PPE and safety requirements.
