Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, implement and promote a proactive safety culture in the work environment.

You will coordinate with the Corporate Safety department and local management to advance the One Safety program, overseeing a team of Safety Coordinators and reporting to the Regional Safety, Training, and Compliance Manager over the Northeast. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum seven years of experience in the aviation industry.
• Possess/maintain a valid State driver's license and FAA/Airport credentials.
• Must be flexible to work variable shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work extended hours on short notice during irregular operations.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Supports implementation of safety policies and procedures per regulations.
• Consults with departments on equipment design, fire prevention and safety programs.
• Leads hazard/risk analysis and mitigations.
• Assures training evolution for classroom, on-the-job, and recurrent programs.
• Conducts observations, inspections and audits; reports unsafe findings with root causes.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies and customer requirements.
• Supports investigations of near misses and incidents; coordinates corrective actions.
• Maintains safety records and related files.
• Provides direction and training to support IMS/SMS programs.
• Participates in safety board meetings and communicates safety trends to management.
• Performs graphical and numerical analysis of hazards to improve safety culture.
• Reviews planning and changes affecting IMS/SMS across operations.

Safety Manager

I influential position dedicated to the development, implementation and promotion of a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment. Coordinates with the Corporate Safety department and local management in the development and implementation of dnata’sOne Safety program to promote a proactive safety culture. Manages a group of local Safety Coordinators and reports directly to the Regional Safety, Training, and Compliance Manager over the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Supports the implementation of safety policies and procedures to be followed by Company personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal occupational safety and health, environmental, and security requirements

• Consults with all departments on design and use of equipment, facilities, fire prevention, safety and environmental programs

• Leads hazard/risk analysis efforts and assists in the identification of mitigation methods

• Performs an assurance function as it relates to the entire training evolution – classroom, OJT and recurrent.

• Conducts observations, inspections and audits. Prepares reports and communicates unsafe findings to appropriate authorities addressing root causes and determining corrective action

• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies and meet ing compliance requirements from our customers

• Supports and drives the investigation of near misses, incidents, and coordinates the preparation of material and evidence to identify root causes for the purpose of developing corrective and preventative actions

• Maintain files and records as necessary

• Provides direction, management, technical expertise and training to support our IMS and SMS programs

• Ensures and participates in safety board meetings

• Proactively performs graphical and numerical analysis of hazards, near misses and incidents to determine trends. Provides recommendations to senior management in an effort to achieve the safest environment possible.

• Review/approve planning, design, and modification of materials processes, operations, personnel changes or building layouts affecting all aspects of the IMS/SMS

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s D egree in a related field, or an equivalent level of education and experience.

• Minimum seven (4) years of experience in the aviation industry

• Possess/maintain a valid State driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations

• Must be flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays

• Specific shifts to be determined by administrative staff due to operational needs

• Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during irregular operation

• Ability to work in inclement weather
