Job summary

  • OSHA 30 certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, and reports related to inspections, training, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety planning into daily operations and project schedules.
  • Support bilingual communication of safety expectations, training, and documentation for English- and Spanish-speaking team members.

Essential Skills

  • Strong organizational skills to manage safety documentation and reporting.
  • Motivation to contribute to a large, established contractor in the Richmond area.
Work Environment

The role involves working both onsite at active civil construction projects and in an office environment. The Site Safety Manager regularly visits job sites to observe field operations, conduct inspections, and engage directly with crews and supervisors. The position operates within a contractor setting that emphasizes safety, compliance, and collaboration, offering the opportunity to support a large portfolio of projects while working closely with field and office-based teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockville, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
