Sheakley Workforce Staffing in Paducah, TX seeks a hands-on Construction Safety Manager to oversee daily field safety for utility, transmission, distribution, and substation construction crews on a 10-month, contractor assignment.

You will enforce OSHA standards, review JHAs/AHAs, conduct site inspections, coordinate with management and subcontractors, and foster a proactive safety culture while supporting project schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• BCSP Credential required (CHST minimum)
• Minimum 5+ years of field construction safety experience
• Electrical construction safety experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for substation construction activities
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor electrical installation, utility construction, material handling, and equipment operations
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Paducah, TX
Duration: 10 Months (Start: Immediate Need)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $57/hr
• Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay Frequency: Weekly
• Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 60 Hours Per Week | 1st Shift
• Additional Schedule Details: Consistent overtime supporting utility and substation construction activities.
