Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 10-month, 1099 contract in Paducah, TX. The role focuses on daily field safety oversight for substation construction crews, ensuring OSHA compliance and safe work practices across all activities.

Ideal candidates have a BCSP CHST credential and 5+ years of field construction safety experience, including electrical safety in utility projects.

Qualifications

BCSP CHST credential is required.
Minimum 5+ years of field construction safety experience.
Electrical construction safety experience is required.

Responsibilities

Provide daily field safety oversight for substation construction activities
Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
Monitor electrical installation, utility construction, material handling, and equipment operations
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
