Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is hiring a Field Construction Safety Manager for a New Albany, OH data center project. This hands-on role provides safety oversight across trenching, excavation, concrete construction, site development, and electrical activities as needed.

You will maintain a strong field presence, partner with craft personnel and subcontractors, verify OSHA compliance, review JHAs, and lead safety inspections and incident investigations to keep work safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience supporting trenching, excavation, and concrete construction.
• CHST/. OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight across multiple construction scopes.
• Maintain a highly visible field presence near active work areas.
• Monitor trenching, excavation, concrete placement, and site development.
• Support electrical construction activities as scope progresses.

Field Construction Safety Manager

Location: New Albany, OH

Duration: 3+ Months (Start: 8/24)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $52/hr

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Day Shift | 40 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications

• CHST Certification
• OSHA 510 Certification
• OSHA 30 Construction Certification
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
• Experience supporting excavation, trenching, and concrete construction activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center or mission‑critical construction experience
• Excavation/Trenching Competent Person experience
• Heavy civil or site development experience
• Concrete construction safety experience
• Electrical construction safety experience
• NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) knowledge

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide daily field safety oversight across multiple construction scopes
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Monitor trenching, excavation, concrete, and site development activities
• Support electrical construction activities as project scope progresses
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor heavy equipment and mobile equipment operations
• Verify excavation protective systems, access/egress, spoil placement, and changing site conditions
• Monitor concrete placement, reinforcing, formwork, and related activities
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Coordinate safety activities with subcontractors, project supervision, and site leadership
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
