Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 3-year, 1099 contract in Millersport, OH. The role requires hands-on safety leadership across data center construction, trenching, electrical and concrete work to protect workers and meet project deadlines.

You will work with crafts, subcontractors, and supervision, perform site inspections, review JHAs and permits, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• BCSP certification (CHST/ASP/CSP) or equivalent required.
• Experience in data center construction preferred.
• Strong civil construction safety background necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for data center construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence in active work areas.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, hazard assessments.
• Monitor trenching, excavation, underground utility, concrete, and electrical construction activities.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Millersport, OH Duration: 3 Years (Start: 9/7) Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $56/hr

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Candidates must be able to work any day of the week and any shift; minimum of 40 hours per week

Additional Schedule Details: Day and night shift coverage required. Flexibility to support project needs across multiple work schedules is essential.
