Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager in Clinton, TN. You will provide hands-on safety leadership for civil and utility construction, partnering with project leadership to safeguard workers during railroad crossing modification activities, concrete placement, conduit and piping work, and excavation.

The role requires OSHA 30 Construction Certification and at least 5 years of construction safety experience, with preference for industrial/manufacturing site

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience required.
• Preferred: industrial/manufacturing facility construction experience, concrete construction, excavation/trenching, underground utilities or piping, competent person for excavation & trenching, and CHST/ASP/CSP or BCSP credential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for civil and utility construction operations.
• Maintain a visible field presence with craft personnel and project supervision.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, concrete, rebar, conduit, piping, and sprinkler work.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and project safety requirements.
• Support safe work practices in a live manufacturing environment.
• Review JHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.
• Monitor heavy equipment operations and material handling.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records.
• Partner with project leadership to mitigate hazards.
• Promote a positive safety culture on the project.

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Clinton, TN

Duration: 6+ Months (Start: 9/14)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $59/hr

Per Diem: None

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Weekend work as project needs require

Required Qualifications
