Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a field-focused safety professional for a 2-week contract in Indianapolis, IN. The role provides hands-on safety oversight for helical pile installation and foundation activities at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site.

This position requires OSHA 30 and 3+ years of construction safety experience, with a strong field presence and excellent hazard recognition. Local candidates can earn $58/hr with weekly pay; travelers may receive $50/hr plus $175/day per diem and a $150

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification is required.
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Experience supporting foundation, civil, geotechnical, or commercial construction projects.
• Strong field safety presence and hazard recognition skills.
• Experience conducting site inspections and field observations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, supervision, and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for helical pile installation and foundation activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor drilling, pile installation, equipment operation, and material handling activities.
• Support compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Work closely with site supervision and the general contractor's safety personnel.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Assist with safety-related communication between stakeholders onsite.
• Participate in incident investigations if required.
• Maintain awareness of changing site conditions and project risks.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $58/hr (Local Candidates) OR $50/hr + $175/day Per Diem (Travelers)

Overtime: Included in scheduled project hours

Per Diem: $175/day (Non-Local Candidates)

Completion Bonus: $150

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 10-Hour Days | Approximately 50 Hours/Week

Additional Schedule Details: Short-term project with immediate start. Consistent first-shift schedule.
