Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and federal/state/local regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership to influence frontline and leadership.
  • Experience delivering safety training and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site-wide EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance including OSHA recordkeeping and safety reporting.
  • Own incident investigations end-to-end with root-cause analysis and CAPA.
  • Monitor TRIR and injury trends to identify risks and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to communicate risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Support enterprise EHS initiatives and participate in Safety Committees.

Job description

A leading industrial manufacturer is hiring a Safety Manager to drive EHS compliance, lead incident investigations, and elevate site safety performance. This is a highly visible role focused on OSHA programs, TRIR/DART analysis, and implementing data-driven safety improvements in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates bring strong regulatory expertise, EHS systems experience, and a passion for building a proactive safety culture.

The responsibilities of the Safety Manager will include:

  • Lead and execute site-wide EHS programs to ensure full regulatory compliance, including OSHA recordkeeping, LOTO, and safety reporting requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance safety programs, driving improvements through gap analysis and best practice implementation.
  • Own incident investigations end-to-end, leveraging root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive a learning culture by sharing insights and trends through structured "Lessons Learned" and cross-site collaboration.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics (TRIR, injury/illness trends) to identify risks and proactively improve site performance.
  • Leverage data and analytics to uncover trends and implement strategic, high-impact safety initiatives.
  • Oversee development and execution of safety procedures, policies, and training programs to ensure operational excellence and workforce engagement.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of EHS data and systems, maintaining audit-ready documentation and compliance at all times.
  • Partner with operations leadership to communicate risks, drive accountability, and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Support and execute strategic EHS initiatives, aligning site-level performance with broader organizational safety goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, promoting hazard awareness, risk reduction, and a proactive safety mindset.
  • Collaborate with enterprise EHS teams to align on strategy, standards, and continuous improvement efforts. Champion employee engagement through active participation in Safety Committees and site-level initiatives.

The ideal Safety Manager will have the following skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or high-risk environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations, with a track record of maintaining compliance
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both frontline teams and senior leadership
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing and delivering safety training and presentations, with the ability to effectively communicate complex topics
