Job summary

RUKCO seeks a top-level safety professional to join our Indianapolis-based team on large-scale projects. You will partner with GC/safety teams to support operations, coach teams on fall protection and crane management, and lead safety initiatives across the site.

Travel is preferred and STS-C and OSHA-510 certifications, plus 3+ years in construction safety, will help you excel. You will drive incident investigations, corrective actions, and robust safety culture improvements on complex projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of safety or loss control experience in construction.
  • Focused experience in large-scale steel erection and ground-up projects.
  • STS-C certification or higher through BCSP.
  • OSHA-510 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work with GC/safety teams to support construction operations.
  • Provide expert guidance on fall protection and crane management.
  • Oversee contractor management guidelines and safety controls.
  • Lead teams of contractors and safety professionals.
  • Develop and implement life safety requirements and controls.
  • Conduct site safety observations and write reports.
  • Coordinate communications in meetings and group collaborations.
  • Deliver trainings and safety presentations for site personnel.
  • Update safety logs and incident reports; submit to staff.
  • Participate in incident investigations and analyze reports.
  • Implement corrective actions and track progress.
  • Ensure strong communication among RUKCO, site personnel, and client management.
  • Collaborate with safety professionals and trades to promote safety culture.

Join the RUKCO Team

The RUKCO team is excited for growth. We are currently searching for a top-level professionals to partner with on large scale projects representing Contractors responsible for General Contractor, Steel Erection and Curtain Wall detail to facilitate safety management and loss control programs in the Indianapolis, IN area.

Candidates willing to travel are preferred.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Work with General Contractor (GC)/construction manager safety teams in a role supporting construction operations.
  • Provide expert guideance and coaching specifically related to fall protection and crane management.
  • Provide oversight of organizational guidelines for construction contractor management and operational manufacturing activities
  • Lead teams of contractors and safety professionals
  • Develop and implement life safety requirements and controls
  • Conduct site safety observations, identify areas for improvement, and develop comprehensive reports
  • Facilitate effective coordination and communication through active participation in meetings/group collaboration
  • Facilitate trainings and other safety-related presentations for site personnel
  • Update safety logs, write safety reports and submit these to appropriate staff
  • Participate in incident investigations and analyze incident reports
  • Implement corrective action procedures and track progress on corrective actions
  • Ensure strong communication between RUKCO team, site personnel and client project management
  • Work with other safety professionals, project management and trades personnel to establish the safety cultural initiatives
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum (3) years of experience in safety or loss control specific to the construction environment.
  • Focused experience in large scale steel erection and ground up construction projects
  • STS-C certification or higher through BCSP.
  • OSHA510 certification.
