MAU Workforce Solutions is seeking a Site Safety Manager to provide site-wide safety leadership for manufacturing and logistics operations. The role partners with leadership to embed safety into daily processes, drive continuous improvement, and manage safety programs and training across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on safety leadership experience, strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, and a track record of developing a positive safety culture while supporting SQDC objectives.

Site Safety Manager - Manufacturing and Logistics

MAU is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to provide site-wide safety leadership and drive a culture where safety is the foundation of operational excellence. This role will partner with customer leadership, supervisors, and associates to ensure compliance with safety regulations while supporting key business objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on safety leader with experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or industrial operations who is passionate about employee development, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.

What You'll Do

Lead Site Safety Strategy

• Provide site-wide leadership for safety initiatives across multiple shifts and operational areas
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Serve as the site's subject matter expert for safety programs, policies, and best practices
• Monitor workplace risks and implement proactive measures to prevent incidents and injuries
• Partner with operational leaders to integrate safety into daily business processes and decision-making

Drive Safety Programs & Continuous Improvement

• Manage and continuously improve the MAU Safety Program
• Conduct annual site safety assessments and lead Safety Action Plans
• Oversee OSHA-required programs, training, and compliance activities
• Lead new hire safety orientation and onboarding programs
• Manage Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training and certification programs
• Develop and maintain safety procedures, standard work documentation, and training materials
• Conduct SafetyNet audits, Behavioral-Based Safety (BBS) observations, PIT observations, and other safety assessments
• Analyze safety metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk and improve performance

Develop & Support Teams

• Lead, coach, and develop safety team members, supervisors, and employees
• Reinforce Leader Standard Work practices and accountability measures
• Evaluate team performance through KPIs and development assessments
• Foster employee engagement and promote a positive safety culture
• Facilitate effective resolution of employee, supervisor, and customer-related concerns

Incident & Crisis Management

• Serve as the primary resource for workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage events
• Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for safety and HR-related issues as needed

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in Safety Steering Committee meetings with MAU and customer leadership
• Support HR initiatives as a member of the site HR team
• Administer and maintain the SafetyNet system
• Deliver OSHA 10- and OSHA 30-hour training courses as an Outreach Trainer
• Champion hazard recognition and risk reduction initiatives throughout the operation

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant safety experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment
• 4+ years of safety leadership experience
• OSHA 10 certification
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, safety compliance, and risk management practices
• Experience leading teams and influencing safety culture through all levels of an organization
