Job summary

MAU is seeking a Safety Manager to provide sitewide safety leadership and program management for multiple shift operations. The role focuses on advancing SQDC standards, OSHA compliance, and risk reduction while mentoring MAU staff and collaborating with K-C and MAU leadership.

The ideal candidate will oversee safety audits, training programs, and the development of safety materials, while sustaining a strong safety culture across the MAU team at the Beech Island site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 4 years applicable experience.
• Current General Industry OSHA Outreach Instructor certification (OTI 511 and 501).
• Lean Greenbelt or related safety credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide total management of the MAU staff assigned to specific assets on multiple shift operations.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert with material flow processes and continuous improvement champion.
• Ensure that material flow processes are completed to SQDC standards and comply with laws.
• Oversee OSHA safety programs and facilitate training (OSHA 10/30).
• Mentor MAU associates to eliminate safety concerns and drive safety culture.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree

High School Diploma/GED with 4 years applicable experience

OSHA General Industry Outreach Instructor (OTI 511 and 501)
