Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to advance safety culture and protect employees across facilities. You will lead audits, incidents investigations, risk assessments, and deliver safety training to ensure workers return home safely.

The role requires a high school diploma or a B.S. in an EHS-related field, OSHA knowledge, and proficiency with Word/Excel. You will collaborate with frontline teams and management, supporting safety leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field or 1 year EHS experience OR 6 months safety role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in workplace matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program implementation, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Deliver engaging safety training to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and collaborate with frontline teams and leadership.
• Support emergency response and safety communications across sites.
