Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Safety Representative to support equipment installation, piping modifications, and construction activities in an active manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with construction, facilities, operations, and contractor teams to promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance during project execution.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in safety within industrial settings, OSHA 30, LOTO experience, and strong communication and leadership skills to

Qualifications

2+ years of safety experience in industrial construction or manufacturing environments.
Experience with hazardous energy control and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
Experience around process systems, piping, utilities, or production environments.
OSHA 30 Certification required.

Responsibilities

Support daily environmental health and safety activities for equipment installation, piping modifications, and construction projects.
Conduct routine field observations, safety inspections, and jobsite audits to ensure compliance with site-specific safety requirements.
Participate in pre-task planning meetings, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and safety briefings.
Monitor contractor activities and verify adherence to safe work practices, permits, and established procedures.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when required.
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and safety documentation.
Promote a culture of safety excellence while maintaining strong field presence and communication with all stakeholders.
