Job summary

Sysco is seeking an HSE professional to implement prevention-focused health, safety and environmental programs at our Medley distribution center. The role will assist with training, incident investigations and regulatory interface to support Sysco's safety objectives.

The position requires an associate's degree and at least two years of safety experience, OSHA certification, and a valid driver's license. You will promote a proactive safety culture and help develop corrective actions with

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or at least 2 years of safety experience.
• OSHA certifications preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Complete new hire orientation training programs as assigned.
• Maintain records for safety programs (training logs, reports, inspections).
• Implement and train safety programs to employees and supervision as needed.
• Inspect facilities to detect unsafe conditions.
• Participate in investigations for vehicle accidents and injuries.
• Identify root causes and help develop corrective actions.
• Engage associates to follow work methods.
• Monitor equipment inspections and recommend corrections.
• Support HSE plan implementation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture.
• Provide supervisor training on root cause analysis.
• Interface with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and regulators in the Safety Director's absence.
