Job summary

Graniterock is seeking a Safety Specialist to ensure compliance with the Safety & Health Program at branches and job sites. You will lead hands-on safety training, document trainings and inspections, and assist with MSHA inspections and audits.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work with diverse teams, including English/Spanish speakers. This position emphasizes safety-first culture and weekend/after-hours flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 10+ years craft experience desirable.
• Bilingual Spanish/English desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Graniterock Safety & Health Program at branches and/or job sites.
• Develop and conduct hands-on safety training in various topics.
• Document safety subjects such as training, inspections, and observations.
• Train new hires and existing team members on safety policies and programs.
• Assist with MSHA inspections and Quarterly Safety Audits.
• Promote rail safety practices and safety communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Safety Officer.
