North American Mining, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to support the Safety Supervisor and Manager in the implementation and administration of safety programs at our mining operations. Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred or 3-5 years mining experience.
• MSHA certification and/or prior MSHA experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist mine management in complying with all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Conduct inspections of mine site work areas to identify hazards and communicate findings.
• Maintain safety training programs and deliver training modules as needed.
• Train employees on safe operating procedures and pre-operation inspections.
• Accompany MSHA inspectors and other regulatory agencies during inspections.
