Job summary

McGraw Kokosing is seeking a Safety Education and Training Specialist to develop, implement, and deliver education programs ensuring team members are trained on the Company Safety and Health Management System. Content will be aligned with company practices to enhance knowledge and safety performance—Safety 24/7.

The role requires the ability to create materials, deliver training across locations, and measure learning outcomes, including on-site and online delivery and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety and health or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
• 3 to 10+ years of experience with safety and health in the construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• New Hire and Site Safety Orientation: Conduct onboarding for new team members including drug testing, Workday information collection, new hire and site specific safety orientation content delivery.
• Training Program Management: Execute safety training and educational content tailored to the Company and project site. Utilize appropriate teaching methods (e.g., interactive, video, hands-on) and delivery formats (in-person, online, or blended learning).
• Educational Materials and Correspondence: Develop educational materials such as manuals, guides, presentations, Safety Talks, and handouts to support operations managers and team members.
• Evaluation of Education and Training: Collaborate with Safety leadership and operations management to measure learning outcomes, gather feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness to improve or adjust educational information and training.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of all training and education, including attendance records, training materials, evaluations, and participant feedback. Ensure team members meet safety training and certification requirements for their specific roles.
