Job summary

McGraw Kokosing in Middletown, OH is seeking a Safety Education and Training Specialist to develop and deliver safety content across projects. You will lead onboarding, training programs, materials, and assessments to ensure compliance with the Company Safety and Health Management System.

The role requires a Bachelor's in safety and health and 3–10+ years in construction safety, plus strong communication, MS Office, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety and health or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
• 3 to 10+ years of experience with safety and health in the construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations and general safety policies/procedures.

Responsibilities

• New Hire and Site Safety Orientation: onboarding for new team members including drug testing and safety orientation content delivery.
• Training Program Management: deliver tailored safety training using in-person, online or blended formats.
• Educational Materials and Correspondence: develop manuals, guides, presentations, and handouts with consistent safety messaging.
• Evaluation of Education and Training: measure learning outcomes and adjust content based on feedback.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: maintain training attendance and certifications, generate impact reports.
• Training Delivery: facilitate on-site and online safety training.
• Risk Identification and Mitigation: integrate risk mitigation into training programs.
• Operational Coordination: collaborate with safety leadership and operations to create specialized content.
• Technology Integration: use MS Office and multimedia tools to enhance learning materials.
