Job summary

McGraw Kokosing in Middletown, OH, seeks a Safety Education and Training Specialist to develop and deliver training aligned with the Company Safety and Health Management System.

You will oversee onboarding, program management, and material development, plus evaluation and reporting to ensure compliance and effectiveness. A Bachelor’s in safety/health and 3–10+ years in construction are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety and health or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
• 3 to 10+ years of experience with safety and health in the construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and other safety policies.

Responsibilities

• New Hire and Site Safety Orientation: onboard new team members including drug testing and site-specific safety orientation content delivery.
• Training Program Management: execute safety training with appropriate methods and delivery formats (in-person, online, blended).
• Educational Materials and Correspondence: develop manuals, guides, presentations, Safety Talks, and handouts with consistent messaging across locations.
• Evaluation of Education and Training: measure learning outcomes, gather feedback, and improve programs.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: maintain training documentation and generate reports on training effectiveness and compliance.
• Training Delivery: facilitate on-site and online safety training.
• Risk Identification and Mitigation: incorporate risk mitigation strategies into training programs.
• Operational Coordination: work with safety leadership to develop content for specific training needs.
• Technology Integration: use MS Office tools and multimedia to enhance learning communications.
