Mach10 Solutions is seeking a Safety & Health Specialist to partner with the EHS Manager in driving a zero-accident workplace. This role provides subject-matter expertise to design and manage comprehensive health and safety initiatives across the organization.

You will lead safety audits, coordinate training, maintain records, and collaborate with an Environmental Specialist to ensure operational continuity while advancing safety culture and compliant practices.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline is mandatory.
Direct experience applying OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong written/verbal communication.

Working alongside the EHS Manager and the broader department, the Safety & Health Specialist plays a vital role in our pursuit of a zero-accident workplace and our commitment to achieving industry-leading safety standards. You will act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and oversight to help build and manage comprehensive health and safety initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the facility remains in full alignment with all applicable federal, state, and local manufacturing safety mandates.
Evaluate existing safety protocols through regular audits to provide actionable insights that help leadership improve overall site safety.
Gather and organize critical information to support the functionality of our safety initiatives.
Manage a diverse range of safety programs, including lockout tagout, hazard communication, hearing conservation, emergency evacuation, fire protection, ergonomics, machine guarding, hazardous materials, SDS management, fall protection, confined spaces, combustible dust, bloodborne pathogens, respiratory protection, fleet safety, powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and first aid.
Help maintain precise and comprehensive documentation for all training sessions, safety inspections, and regulatory requirements.
Foster a culture of safety by training and encouraging staff to follow established best practices and procedures.
Support the creation and execution of plant-wide strategies to minimize occupational injuries and illnesses, ultimately creating a healthier work environment.
Coordinate and facilitate both onboarding and recurring safety training sessions for personnel.
Lead and contribute to thorough investigations following any accidents or incidents.
Contribute to the ongoing creation and updating of the corporate safety manual.
Take immediate, proactive steps to identify and rectify any hazardous conditions or unsafe actions.
Collaborate with the Environmental Specialist to provide cross-functional support and ensure operational continuity.

Required Qualifications

Prior background in Safety or Environmental roles within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Business, or a related discipline is mandatory.
Direct experience applying OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
Proficiency in standard office software, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety information to all staff levels through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
Understanding of state-specific manufacturing safety requirements, specifically KY OSH and KRS guidelines.
