Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a safety and health professional to develop, implement, and administer environmental, fleet safety, and occupational health programs. You will ensure legal compliance, maintain a safe workplace, and manage claims related to workers' comp and liability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
• 5-7 years related experience.
• 6 months - 1 year supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety programs within budgetary guidelines.
• Decrease lost days and OSHA recordable incidents.
• Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and perform duties to meet those needs.
• Develop interpersonal relationships fostering openness and trust.
• Provide professional assistance when working with the public/customers/vendors and coworkers.
• Improve safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor safety programs and implement changes to ensure employee health and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
