Job summary

MetalX LLC is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to oversee programs that prevent injury and illness in the workplace. You will work with Management, Operations, Quality and HR to design and implement policies that protect workers across all areas.

Responsibilities include accident investigation, regulatory reporting, training, emergency planning and maintaining EH&S records. Applicants should have a degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in EH&S roles.

Qualifications

  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to understand production processes and awareness about production operations.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of EH&S Experience.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA, NIOSH and EPA standards.

  • Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of all EH&S activity: employee training, SDS database, OSHA reporting, etc.
  • Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.

Description

The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing the work environment and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent disease or injury.
