Job summary

Advantage Behavioral Health Systems in Athens, GA is seeking a Security/Guard role to support safety across crisis walk-in and stabilization units within the BHCC. The position covers multiple shifts, full-time or part-time, with weekend opportunities and a starting hourly rate of $16.50.

Responsibilities include maintaining a visible presence, de-escalation support, documentation, and teamwork with processing and admissions to promote a safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Provide support to the Crisis Stabilization unit by maintaining presence in the area while also assisting with any needs of the unit, including assistance with de-escalation of clients as a part of the response team, if indicated.
• Monitor premises to ensure there are no safety concerns.
• Document any important information, incidents or items to be aware of in the Daily Action Log, to ensure proper shift change report.

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Lead Safety Guard, the safety guards within the BHCC provide persons, families, or vulnerable populations with support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses, physical or developmental disabilities. The role of this position is to ensure the safety of all clients, staff and visitors to the BHCC.

Duties and Responsibility

• Provide support to the Crisis Walk in by maintaining presence in the area while also assisting with wanding and storing clients/visitors belongings upon entering building.
• Provide support to the Crisis Stabilization unit by maintaining presence in the area while also assisting with any needs of the unit, including assistance with de-escalation of clients as a part of the response team, if indicated.
