Job summary

Advantage Behavioral Health Systems in Athens, GA is seeking a full-time Security Guard for the 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift to protect clients, staff and visitors. You will monitor entrances and assist with wanding and storing belongings at entry points.

Under supervision of the Lead Safety Guard, you will support the Crisis Walk-in and Crisis Stabilization units, help de-escalate when needed, and document important events in the Daily Action Log to ensure smooth shift changes and ongoing safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Preferred security experience.
• Preferred CPI training.

Responsibilities

Position Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3p-11:30pPosition Summary:Under the supervision of the Lead Safety Guard, the safety guards within the BHCC provide persons, families, or vulnerable populations with support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses, physical or developmental disabilities. The role of this position is to ensure the safety of all clients, staff and visitors to the BHCC.Duties and ResponsibilityProvide support to the Crisis Walk in by maintaining presence in the area while also assisting with wanding and storing clients/visitors belongings upon entering building.Provide support to the Crisis Stabilization unit by maintaining presence in the area while also assisting with any needs of the unit, including assistance with de-escalation of clients as a part of the response team, if indicated.Monitor premises to ensure there are no safety concerns.Document any important information, incidents or items to be aware of in the Daily Action Log, to ensure proper shift change report.Professional Development:Participates in internal and external educational programs and professional meetings as available for continuing professional educationEnsures Adherence to Program Guidelines/Requirements/Expectations:Demonstrates a diverse knowledge of rules, regulations that govern the agency.
