Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming scrap loads and verify contents against supplier documentation.
• Determine acceptance, downgrading, or rejection based on quality standards.
• Document non-conforming materials and apply deductions as needed.
• Identify hazards including batteries, gas tanks, and stored-energy devices.
• Process loads using SAP and handheld scanners; maintain inventory records.
• Direct truck traffic and coordinate unloading with crane operators.
• Monitor for fire hazards and use radiation detectors when required.
• Communicate via radios and hand signals; ensure drivers follow safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; assist operations staff.
