Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a Metals Inspector to observe and monitor scrap deliveries, ensuring materials meet quality and safety standards. You will record data, coordinate with supervisors, and assist with yard operations to maintain efficient, safe handling of shipments.

The role requires standing in a yard environment, adherence to H&S policies, and collaboration with multiple teams to optimize receiving and stockpiling processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with customers and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Inspect shipments of scrap metal to ensure material meets specifications and is free from hazards.
• Record inspection data such as weight, grade, content, and quantity.
• Notify supervisors of problems and assist in recommending remedial procedures.
• Collaborate with commercial department on quality and consistency of deliveries.
• Direct unloading of vehicles to ensure safe, orderly traffic flow.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed.

Education
