Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. - Glen Allen is seeking a Delivery Helper to load materials, locate job sites, prepare and restore work areas, and prep the truck for the next day, while maintaining equipment and truck readiness.

Key functions include ensuring OSHA/DOT safety compliance, performing pre-trip inspections, and safely unloading and delivering materials to the customer’s site, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and communicate information accurately.
• Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs to carry materials such as drywall materials and joint compound.
• Demonstrates trust, integrity and servant leadership in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT safety guidelines.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
• Safely unload product and deliver to the designated area as directed by the customer.
• Secure loads and navigate routes to the job site.
