Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Delivery Helper to load, locate job sites, back, prepare and restore the site, and prep the truck for the next day while maintaining equipment.

You will safely unload, secure loads, and follow OSHA/DOT guidelines in a fast-paced field setting. Ideal candidates read and write clearly, lift up to 75 lbs, work independently or with a team, and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately.
• Able to lift at least 75 lbs and handle loading/unloading tasks.
• Demonstrates integrity and servant leadership.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, including delegation when needed.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Load, locate job sites, backing, preparing and restoring the job site, and preparing the truck for the following day.
• Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment and ensure order accuracy.
• Secure mud, equipment, and loads on the truck; navigate routes to the job site.
