Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Helper in Chester, VA. The role involves loading and unloading materials, preparing job sites, and ensuring trucks are ready for the next day.

You will follow OSHA and DOT guidelines to keep all personnel safe and deliver products to designated areas. Candidates should be able to lift up to 75 lbs, communicate effectively, and work well both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately.
• Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs to carry materials such as drywall and joint compound.
• Professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Demonstrates initiative, proactive attitude and results-driven behavior.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Load, locate job sites, back in, prepare and restore the job site and truck for the next day.
• Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area per customer directions.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure orders are accurate.
• Navigate routes to the job site and secure loads as required.
