Job summary

Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operator for a busy distribution center in Mesquite, TX. You will move pallets, load/unload trailers, and support production and shipping operations.

Location: Mesquite, TX; Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Pay: $19.50/hour. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Certification/training preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong math, reading, and communication skills.
• Safety-focused approach.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to transport pallets and materials throughout the distribution center.
• Load and unload customer trailers.
• Position forks and lifting equipment correctly under, over, or around loaded pallets.
• Lift, transport, lower, and stack materials in designated areas.
• Move pallets efficiently to support production and warehouse operations.
• Assist with hand-sorting pallets when needed.
• Make safe and efficient decisions regarding the movement and placement of materials.
• Follow all forklift operating procedures and company safety standards.
• Meet established productivity and production expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete required records and follow instructions regarding documentation.
• Work as part of a team while maintaining accountability for performance and safety.
