Job summary

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. is hiring for a Waste Room Operator to transfer waste from production lines to the appropriate receptacles and to support safe handling of finished and waste products.

The role requires adherence to GMP and PPE protocols, ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy, and wet environment, and capability to operate with mechanical and electrical equipment while maintaining accuracy in waste tracking and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• One-year related experience preferred.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Transfer waste from production lines to correct waste or recycling receptacles.
• Follow GMP procedures for PPE and waste room.
• Clean equipment and waste bins with designated chemicals.
• Handle chemicals with proper training.
• Record waste measurements on waste trackers.
• Work in wet/humid environments with high noise levels around equipment.
