Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily sortation operations and a team of handlers and administrative staff. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to FedEx policies while driving performance and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, plus hands-on experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a full-time position based in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification or Associate's Degree or progress towards degree accepted.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champions FedEx Safety Above All Culture and initiatives.
• Manage hiring, coaching, performance, discipline and staff productivity.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control daily operations.
• Assign and manage staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate operational updates and goals.
• Develop and administer employee relations and safety strategies.
• Investigate and resolve customer service issues as appropriate.
• Train new employees on duties, FXG policies, and safety requirements.
• Mentor and develop supervisors; adapt to changing business needs.
