Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead open pit mining activities on a rotating 5-4 schedule. This role oversees up to 52 equipment operators, directing daily priorities and resources to meet the mine plan while maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include coaching crews, conducting safety meetings and inspections, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring performance evaluations and training records are up to date.

Qualifications

• A strong safety background is required.
• Proven safety and environmental performance.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mine operations in an open pit mine setting.
• Prior supervisory or lead person experience required.
• Valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a strong safety culture and facilitate team involvement in safety programs.
• Promote and enforce safety standards to deliver safe production.
• Conduct safety meetings and inspections; demonstrate commitment to safety and the environment.
• Provide coaching and leadership to the operational crew and supervise up to 52 equipment operators.
• Work with other departments to deliver the short-range mine plan and communicate daily objectives to mine operators.
• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with the mine plan and identify training needs.
