Job summary

Rise Baking Company in Massachusetts is seeking a Safety & Environmental Manager to partner with plant leadership to ensure compliance with safety, environmental procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will lead audits, develop programs, train staff, and drive a zero-incident culture across the facility.

Responsibilities include managing hazardous waste plans, incident investigations, and data reporting; collaborating with HR on workers’ comp, and supporting GMPs to safeguard food safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management or equivalent experience.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience implementing and sustaining safety programs.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations and program implementation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and training development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance.
• Provide direction, training, and technical support to deploy policies and procedures.
• Partner with plant management for successful regulatory audits.
• Ensure hazardous waste management plans are designed and implemented.
• Measure safety performance and identify improvement opportunities.
