Job summary

Qcells USA Corp. in Cartersville, GA seeks a Safety Engineer to help develop and manage safety programs for a new plant startup.

You will lead PHA/HAZOP, monitor MAQ thresholds, ensure proper storage, containment, and chemical compatibility while driving a proactive, risk-based safety culture. You will participate in MOC reviews, maintain OSHA logs, and deliver training to support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, EHS, Chemistry or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or chemical process experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
• Experience with PHA, MOC and industrial hygiene programs preferred.
• Experience dealing with regulatory agencies at various levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory compliance monitoring and respond to inspections.
• Conduct JHA and implement engineering or administrative controls.
• Lead incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver OSHA-compliant safety training programs.
• Audit contractor safety programs and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, and internal reports.
• Support ISO 45001 and EHS management system activities.
