Qcells Georgia, Inc. in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer to lead the site’s PSM and RMP activities. The role involves facilitation, hands-on technical work, and driving continuous improvement as the plant design, build, and start-up progress.

You will develop audits, support hazard analyses (PHA/HAZOP/LOPA), and ensure regulatory compliance under OSHA PSM and EPA RMP. Strong communication and writing skills, plus proficiency with MS Office, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or EHS required.
• 3+ years’ experience in OSHA-PSM and EPA-RMP requirements for highly hazardous chemicals.
• Experience facilitating PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/SIL) for major hazard projects.
• Experience leading PSM and RMP programs (29 CFR 1910.119; 40 CFR Part 68).
• Experience with hazard analysis techniques (HAZOP, What-If, FTA, dispersion studies).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).
• Technical writing skills.
• Presentation/training experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Recognizes, evaluates, and controls process hazards.
• Leads development and sustainability of site policies and technical guidelines associated with PSM and RMP elements (e.g., Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, Contractor Management, Process Safety Information, etc.) to deliver compliance.
• Develops and implements an audit schedule for the site covering all elements of PSM and leads/conducts audits as required.
• Leads/participates in incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
• Develops, implements, and maintains Process Safety Management (PSM) And Risk Management Program (RMP) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Provides technical expertise in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP), consults on regulatory compliance, hazard management, behavioral modification, and auditing programs.
• Leads process hazard analysis (PHA) and facilitates root cause analysis for incidents.
• Quantifies and assesses risks associated with identified hazards using risk assessment tools and methodologies.
• Develops guidance and assists in the implementation of the Emergency Response Plan for the facilities as it relates to RMP/PSM.
