Job summary

QCELLS America in Cartersville, GA seeks a Safety Engineer to develop and manage safety programs for a new plant startup. You will ensure OSHA compliance, lead incident investigations, and promote a zero-harm culture across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, training, contractor safety, and EHS documentation, with emphasis on ISO 45001 alignment and proactive risk-based improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, EHS, Chemistry or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or chemical process experience preferred.
• Strong Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
• Experience with PHA, MOC, and Industrial Hygiene programs preferred.
• Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (Federal, State, and local municipalities).
• Experience in generating, preparing, and writing reports.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Standards Monitoring: Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable regulations.
• Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: Conduct JHA and implement appropriate controls.
• Incident Management & Reporting: Lead investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Training & Safety Culture: Develop and deliver OSHA-compliant training programs.
• Contractor Safety Management: Evaluate and audit contractor safety programs.
• Chemical Safety & Hazard Communication: Maintain chemical inventories and SDS per OSHA standards.
• Recordkeeping & Documentation: Maintain safety records and prepare internal reports.
• ISO 45001 & EHS Management Systems: Support ISO 45001 certification and continuous improvement.
