Job summary

Kia Georgia seeks a safety professional to support the Assistant Manager of Safety Operations in implementing safety and incident prevention measures. The role covers risk assessments, SIFs program support, and ISO 45001 compliance within a heavy manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include contractor safety management, incident investigations, and development of safety communications and training for vendors and shop leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety or engineering field with several years of safety experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Contractor Safety Management, incident investigation, risk analysis, and safety standards (ANSI, OSHA).
• Experience with ISNetworld is preferred and knowledge of SIFs program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration activities supporting Contractor Safety Management using ISNetworld and other programs.
• Examine plant equipment for safety requirements and recommend design modifications before purchase or use.
• Conduct risk assessments and daily safety observations in production areas.
• Develop safety orientation for contractors and suppliers to ensure policy understanding.
• Support compliance with ISO 45001 and corporate safety directives as needed.
