Job summary

BELL Construction is hiring a Safety Engineer to join the Nashville, TN project team. The role supports the implementation of safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for employees, subcontractors, and vendors in compliance with laws and regulations.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least one year of safety experience in commercial construction, and preferred CSP/ASP/GSP/CHST/CIH certifications. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field.
• One year safety experience in commercial construction or related field.
• CSP, ASP, GSP, CHST, or CIH certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports implementation of safety policies, programs, and procedures across the site.
• Develops, updates, and enforces site-specific safety plans with project teams.
• Leads safety orientations and coordinates with trade partners on safety.
• Performs site safety inspections and documents hazards to ensure timely corrective actions.
• Maintains emergency planning documentation and coordinates safety training sessions.
• Tracks health and safety incidents and assists with investigations to determine root causes.
