Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety-related field and 3 years of occupational safety experience.
• Ability to interpret regulations from local, state, and federal agencies.
• Experience with hazard assessment, accident prevention programs, OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards, evaluate unsafe conditions, and drive corrective actions across DOT worksites.
• Improve accident prevention programs and guide management on engineering and compliance requirements.
• Oversee hazard records and manage OSHA compliance priorities.
• Review materials, equipment, and engineering designs to ensure safe use in the field.
• Provide OSHA mandated and regulatory training (Defensive Driving, OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR/AED, confined space, lockout/tagout).
• Conduct safety surveys, WorkZone studies, industrial hygiene assessments, exposure monitoring.
• Prepare safety audits, job hazard analyses, emergency plans, environmental compliance projects, and accident investigations.
• Support managers in selecting safety equipment meeting EPA, NFPA, NIOSH, OSHA standards.
