QCELLS America in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Safety Engineer to develop and manage safety programs, supporting a new plant design, construction, and startup. The role focuses on fostering a zero-harm safety culture and proactive risk-based programs involving team members.

You will lead PHA, assess inventories against MAQ, participate in MOC, ensure proper engineering controls, and coordinate safety training and regulatory compliance across site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, EHS, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or chemical process experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
• Experience with PHA, MOC, and Industrial Hygiene programs preferred.
• Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (Federal, State, and local municipalities).
• Experience in generating, preparing, and writing reports.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong writing ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilités

• Regulatory Compliance & Standards Monitoring: Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable regulations.
• Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: Conduct JHA and implement controls; regular inspections.
• Incident Management & Reporting: Lead investigations; track corrective actions and safety reports.
• Training & Safety Culture: Develop OSHA-compliant training; conduct toolbox talks and drills.
• Contractor Safety Management: Audit contractor safety programs; drive improvements.
• Chemical Safety & Hazard Communication: Maintain chemical inventories and SDS; proper labeling and storage.
• Recordkeeping & Documentation: Maintain OSHA logs and safety documents; support audits.
• ISO 45001 & EHS Management Systems: Maintain ISO 45001 certification and continuous improvement.
