Job summary

Qcells Georgia, Inc. seeks a Safety Engineer to support a new Cartersville, GA facility. You will develop and manage safety programs, lead PHA/HAZOP, and drive a zero-harm safety culture throughout construction and startup.

You will evaluate chemical inventories, MAQs, storage design, and containment capacity, then participate in MOC reviews and ensure controls are properly designed and functioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, EHS, chemistry or related field (relevant work experience may be considered).
• 5+ years of manufacturing or chemical process experience preferred.
• Strong Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.
• Experience with PHA, MOC, and Industrial Hygiene programs preferred.
• Experience dealing with regulatory agencies (Federal, State, local).
• Experience in generating, preparing, and writing reports.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA and applicable regulatory compliance, updates, and training.
• Conduct JHA and implement engineering/administrative controls.
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA logs and internal/external safety reports.
• Develop and deliver OSHA-compliant safety training programs.
• Evaluate contractor safety programs for compliance and improvement.
