Job summary

INEOS Oxide seeks a Safety Engineer to act as the plant-wide expert on safety and fire protection, enforcing OSHA and NFPA standards. You will guide management on regulatory compliance and lead the ERT while coordinating contractor safety and emergency preparedness across the site.

The role requires a technical engineering or safety degree, strong communication, and proven experience in safety program leadership within a chemical or process environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, health and safety or similar field.
• Preferred board-certified safety credential; ASP or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA/NFPA and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety and fire protection program implementation and enforcement.
• Coordinate OSHA Voluntary Protection Program and safety audits.
• Develop contractor safety management and approvals.
• Deliver safety communications and rapid incident reporting.
• Lead investigations, MOC/PSM and special safety projects.
• Maintain site emergency plans and ERT readiness.
